Hi, my name is Marlene Greyeyes and I am the Health Program Assistant, working alongside Sandra Garbitt, Community Engagement Hub Coordinator, to form the Community Engagement Hub (CEH). The role of the Community Engagement Hub is to develop planning, collaboration, and communication opportunities for member communities. Our main focus is on the relationships and communication processes - not the 'structure'. To date, our Hub consists of Prophet River First Nation, Doig River First Nation, West Moberly First Nations, Saulteau First Nations, and Halfway River First Nation.
There are many benefits to joining our Hub: 1. Provide a mechanism for communities to work together 2. Improve the linkage with the Health Authorities 3. Share knowledge and expertise 4. Share Innovations 5. Provide peer support 6. Improve access to services 7. Improve communication
If you would like to inquire more about the Hub please contact me or Sandra Garbitt.
I continue to offer Indian Registry services and issue status cards, register clients with Indian Affairs, etc., and this has proven to be a valuable service to all members. For a member to receive a status card they must present two pieces of identification; one piece of identification must be a picture ID.
With the increase in need for Indian Registry, I have dedicated Thursdays to providing this service, so please call ahead and book an appointment as I must receive approval before issuing a status card.
Please feel free to drop in and see me if you have any questions.
