The Treaty 8 First Nations (T8FNs), through the leadership of the Council of Treaty 8 Chiefs, signed the Consultation Agreement (CA) in January 2009 effective to Marth 31, 2010 with BC Hydro.

The CA provides the opportunity for the T8FNs to review community concerns, establish technical assessments, and present potential Section 35 [1] impacts with BC Hydro regarding the proposed Site C reservoir and dam project on the Peace River.
