Cumulative Effects of all Resource Development on Treaty 8 Tribal Association Lands
The Table on this subject has not been established yet. However, Treaty 8 Tribal Association has started addressing issues prior to these negotiations through a Cumulative Effects Research Project funded by Sustainable Forest Management Network with UBC professor John Innes as the lead researcher. This research is focused on maintaining an independent position to ensure that the facts are clearly presented and interpreted.
The goal for this phase of the project is to develop a practical model that will help determine the impacts of development imposed by forestry, oil, and gas industries.
Special Projects
