The Table on this subject is not established yet. However:

• The Province wants to cover compensation under Economic Benefits Agreement (EBA)
• The Province will not acknowledge that compensation is owed to BC Treaty 8 First Nations
• Although the Province has these views on compensation, they must honour the terms of the Negotiations Protocol Agreement and establish the Table to address this issue.

Boundary Litigation

This issue is separate from the Negotiation Agreements, but is connected and therefore has implications to the agreements being negotiated.

• Six Treaty 8 First Nations Communities filed this claim in July 2005
• The goal is to identify the Western Boundary of Treaty 8 Lands in BC
• Defining this boundary is needed to:
  Calculate the revenues coming from resource development
  Understand the area we are responsible for in terms of resource management
